PRiSTAT: Mirlo, The Human Soldier

Character and prop design for a personal project.

Meet Mirlo, a human soldier who has shouldered the task of fighting for her kingdom even though she's not in the best terms with the ruling class of faeries. A simple uniform and a pack to cover the basics is all the Pristat army gets.

For Mirlo, it was important to capture her resentment and reluctant commitment to her current position, so I put more care into her body language and expressions.

As for the props, I focused on exploring the contents of a foot soldier's army kit, with special emphasis on design variation and mixing mundane objects with magic. To ease the final render, I modeled the objects on Blender and painted over.
